Meet the Counselor

Meet Mrs. Lasker-Smith, M.Ed.

Hello! My name is Turquisha Lasker-Smith, and I am proud to serve as the school counselor at Alpharetta Elementary. I have over 18 years of experience in education and am passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Originally from Texas, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and master’s degree in School Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. I also hold a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston–Victoria.

I believe every child has unique strengths and the ability to succeed. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop positive relationships, and gain the skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, listening to live music, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family and my puppy, Mizz Pepper. I value faith, family, and community, and I am excited to be part of the Alpharetta Elementary Eagle family!

I look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to make this a wonderful school year!
